![]() Well, to be clear firing too light bolts will increase stress on the components, and can be much noisier than appropriate weight bolts. Shooting a bolt that is to light is like dry firing the bow and thats a bad thing. EDIT: Reading more on this, I've found some documentation that these were rated for 16" bolts, and 18" ones supposedly work fine.Ĭarbon-fiber (graphite) arrows probably weren't in widespread use when these were manufactured, but I'd imagine they'd work perfectly fine.Ĭontacting Barnett about this is probably the best idea. ![]() My Google-fu says they were last made in the 1980s and take either 14" or 13.5" flat nock bolts (arrows). Barnett Commando crossbows have been out of production for years, but they're still sought-after because of their iconic look. ![]()
